the foreign embassy
Background
You've reached the website of Eric Kurzenberger, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, then New York City, and now, Los Angeles. This site is updated on a somewhat irregular basis: no apologies. It's worth reading. If you need to contact me, I can be reached at info_at_theforeignembassy_dot_com.

Twenty Questions

Who are you?

Eric Kurzenberger. Sometimes. Sometimes I'm the Blue Beetle.

Where do you live?

In Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, with my lovely lady.

And you do what, exactly?

I write screenplays. For a living, I work at Tekserve, That Old Reliable Mac Shop. But mainly, I write.

Ooo, writing movies. Good gig, that. Money in it, is there?

Not for me, there's not. At least, not yet. But hope springs eternal.

Why "The Foreign Embassy?"

I nicked the name from a friend of mine, 'cause I thought it sounded clever, and I'm a fan of inherent redundancies.

Are you, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party?

Um, no.

What do you do for kicks?

Watch movies. Read. Listen to music. Nothing terribly exciting, but it does me right.

Anything you recommend?

Haven't seen anything particularly great in a while, though the new Harry Potter was damn entertaining, and I'm waiting with baited breath for ADAPTATION and SOLARIS. On the music front, Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head is excellent. Just read the brilliant The Wooden Sea, by Jonathan Carroll, and I'm slogging my way through House of Leaves, which is a Christoper Nolan adaptation waiting to happen if ever there was one. If you've got any other recommendations, let me know...

How do we reach you?

Send me an email at info@theforeignembassy.com, or IM "offmango" if I'm online.

Anything else you have to say for yourself?

If I do, you'll be able to read it here. Cheers.
